How To Create A Billable Item With Patient Juan

Billable items are stand-alone items that you can use to invoice your clients.

Step 1: Sign In to Patient Juan

Sign in to your Patient Juan™ account and select any clinic you have.

Step 2: Click Settings button

On Patient Juan™’s top bar, click your name or profile picture at the upper right section of the screen. This will open a dropdown of options for you. Click the “Settings” button.

Step 3: Billable Items

On the side-navigation bar of the Settings window, click the “Billing/POS”  menu. Afterwards, select “Billable Items” from the shown options. This will show you a list of your existing Billable Items.

Step 4: Creating a Billable Item

Click the “New Item” button at the upper right portion of the Billable Items window. This action will open the Add Billable Item Window.

Step 5: Add Billable Item

Fill up the required fields in the Add Billable Item window.

Step 6: Billable Item with HMO Coverage

For Billable Items with HMO Coverages, you can add a coverage by clicking the “HMO Coverage” button.

In the Add HMO Coverage window, select an HMO provider from the dropdown provided. You can add other HMOs through your account settings. Next, input your billable item’s copay and coverage. 

The copay will be the amount that your patient will be billed for the item if they are covered by your chosen HMO provider. The coverage, on the other hand, is the amount to be reimbursed by the HMO.

Step 7: Add HMO Coverage

Once you complete the HMO coverage, click the “Add” button. 

Note: Each Billable Item can be covered by more than one HMO provider.

Step 8: Add Billable Item with HMO Coverage

Finally, click the “Add Item” button at the bottom right corner of the Add Billable Item window.
